ezeTouch Sensor Interface
The new ezeTouch generic graphics touch screen sensor interface, with software design
of buttons and graphics, allows fast and low cost development of sensor
instrumentation.
Previously, expensive custom displays needed to be designed for each
application. Application specific membrane buttons were also required. This
incurred large tooling costs making small runs of portable instruments
expensive. With the ezeTouch interface not only can custom displays and buttons be
designed in software for each application but the displays and buttons can be
altered during its operation.
The full colour graphics touch screen and dual microprocessors permit
simultaneous sensor measurement and control with graphics display. The
display can be supplied with simple user buttons and text or more complicated
controls and graphs.
Multiple inputs and outputs allow multichannel sensors or a number of
different sensors to be connected. Onboard RTC and memory enables sensor data to
be date-stamped and stored. The interface has been designed to allow various options,
eg. extra memory, extra analogue inputs/outputs to be added.
A sensor interface board can be designed
and configured for a variety of sensor types and methods. Inputs for
electrochemical sensors (pH, potentiometric, voltammetric), temperature probes,
conductivity cells, and optical or photometric measurement devices can be
included. The usb connection allows custom PC software to download data and
instrument setup variables to be uploaded.

Potentiostat
The
graphics touch screen
sensor interface
has been configured to operate as an ezeSCAN potentiostat,
running the standard ezeSCAN V4 Windows software package. It can
operate as a stand-alone portable field potentiostat or as a laboratory
instrument.

Intelligent
Receiver for Remote Sensors
The
generic ezeTouch graphic display fitted with a wireless receiver can
be used to view data collected from a number of different remote wireless
sensors. It can also be used in the field to control, setup and
download data from remote sensors.

Setup and control software
|
Custom Laptop/PC software can be
used to download data collected by the ezeTouch sensor
interface
and analysed or
displayed. If the Laptop/PC is connected to the internet, this can be
uploaded onto the Whistonbrook ProcessWatch website for viewing.

User
Interface for Process Control or Bench Instrumentation
The
generic graphics touch screen interface
can be fitted to bench mounted
instrumentation or process control equipment to provide a simple control
interface. The interface can be used as a simple data display screen with user
buttons or more complex data can be graphed, error messages can be
displayed or setup information can be entered. This interface can also be used
to give the instrument or equipment intelligence and PC connectivity via
the usb link. If the PC is connected to the internet, data can be
transferred and viewed via a website. Memory in the interface can be used to
store data in real time and downloaded later to a PC.
